Developing and publishing giant Electronic Arts along with Maxis have confirmed the upcoming availability of a downloadable demo, but also the full retail version of the Spore Creature Creator. Available starting June 17, 2008, the Spore Creature Creator will be the first opportunity for fans for a hands-on experience with Will Wright's highly anticipated 'god game.' Spore aficionados will be able to design their own species and even share it with their friends.

The demo version of the Spore Creature Creator will be available from the game's official website, worldwide and as a download, Inside Mac Games is reporting. Using 25 percent of the creature-making parts from Spore, the demo will enable players to mold, shape, paint and play with an unlimited number of creatures. As noted above, gamers will also be able to share their designs with their friends, and even upload them on YouTube.
The Spore Creature Creator will also be available as a full version in North America for $9.99. Most European territories have also been confirmed to receive the Creator for about the same price. The full version of the Spore Creature Creator gives players access to all the creature-making parts in the game.
As far as the full version of Will Wright's 'god game' is concerned, it is due out for Macs on September 7th, this year. Spore is one of the few in its genre to arrive on Mac.
Spore Creature Creator Free No Download
In Spore, users will create their own species from scratch, starting from the microscopic stage and evolving them through subsequent phases (up to five, according to Electronic Arts).
Spore Creature Creator is just a trial version of the creature creator in the full Spore game, so it won't include all of the resources you'll eventually have available.
Creating a new being is as easy as adding different body parts from a lateral menu. One thing to keep in mind is that you have a limited amount of credit to spend. Mouths, ears, horns, eyes, arms, legs, scales, claws... everything has a price. It's also possible to give your creature some color. You can use predefined styles if you don't want things to get too complicated.
Once you've finished constructing your specimen, you can give it a name and test out its movement to see if it will succeed on the ground, and how it responds with various emotions.
