Ge P7 Wall Oven Dimensions

I've scoured the forum and haven't found my exact problem so here goes.
I have a GE P7 J-Series In-Wall Oven, this beast is old, probably 30 years old.
The first issue we noticed was that when we were done baking, and we turned the oven off.
It would still be warm/hot the next morning.
We have two knobs, one for temperature and one for bake/broil/off, etc.
Yes we were certain that it was and the lowest possible temp setting and off.
The next issue was it was taking forever to bake anything. Over the next couple of months I noticed the bottom
burner had a bad spot and it eventually burnt through. I replaced this yesterday.
Now our food cooked in a reasonable time, but one new issue.
The amber light for the temperature setting will not go out.
For example, if you set one knob to 'bake' and the other to '350', the amber light stays on untit it reaches 350.
last night, 1 hour after baking I noticed the amber light was still on and the over was warm.
The one knob was set to 'off', however the temp know was still at 350. I moved the temp knob down to low as possible.
The oven cooled down, but amber light does not turn off, and the amber light was still on this morning, but the oven was cool.
My question is, is there another componenet that is possible bad? There are only 2 wires that connect to the burner, I think I have
them in the correct order.
Also, should the 'off' know superced any other settings i.e. temperature?
Thanks for any assistance
